Dude that abortion of a commerical absolutely drives me bonkers.... HOWEVER, the #1 goal for any form of advertising is to get people to remember your name, right? Just like those damn FreeCreditReport.com commercials. They used to drive me batty but now I can damn near sing the whole effing song... It's like the ad has burrowed into my subconscious.

I'll grant you their commercials might make the occasional listener choose NOT to do business with them. But I would imagine that commercial is geared to someone who previously didn't even know Billy Bob's existed. Their hope is that those people, when shopping for a bed, will at least think of Billy Bob's name and look at their prices. I think for every one person they alienate, there are two that remember to at least think about Billy Bob's when shopping for a mattress. That's all Billy Bob's hopes for from their commericals anyway.

Again, I'm with you and think their commercials are beyond annoying. I just think that they're effective.
