beastie boys
Take 6
Prince and the Time (w/morris day) .....yes "OLD SCHOOL"
Rick James........yes "OLD SCHOOL"
Alicia Keys
Johnathan Butler
Luther Vandross
Shania Twain
I'm gonna regret mentioning this.
Went to see Hootie and the Blowfish in Austin. Save your gay talk I was with a bunch of chics. It rained until about 11 they hit the stage at midnight and played till 6 in the morning. All covers and no Hootie songs. Muddy mess and probably one of the best times I've ever had.
Clapton was good show too.
Snoop Dog
Steely Dan, Eagles, Duran Duran, Rastrelli Cello Quartet
Probably one of the old Mt Hood Jazz Festivals I've attended. That or Floyd.
Boston
Weird Al (4 times), Foreigner (Twice), Dear Friends: Music From Final Fantasy in my junior year, and Queen+Paul Rodgers my senior year of high school come to mind.Granted, those are all the concerts I've been to, but...Meh. I was hoarse the day after every single one.
Ozzy Osbourne in Austin- Austin Music Hall
August 19, 1995
His first gig back from "Retirement"- just Ozzy. No opening act. Ozzy for over 2 and half hours- sweet sweet show.
Black Label Society in Austin in a small cantina on 6th Street. Very up close and personal.
I went to a couple Pearl Jam shows this summer (times 8,9 and 10) that were really really good... I will be seeing Radiohead twice next month so those might be awesome too
but my best was my first: TLC, Montell Jordan and Boyz II Men

Lollapalooza 92 i think it was..Ministry, Porno for Pyro's, chilli peppers, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage against the Machine....So many absolutely kick ass bands at the begining or peaks of their careers...
Man that was a bad ass show.
Metallica (black album tour)
Tool (twice)
Blood Brothers
Trail of Dead
The Prodigy
Ozzfest 97
Black Sabbath
Ozzy
Pantera
Type O Negative
Fear Factory
Machine Head
Vision of Disorder
Neurosis
Coal Chamber
Phil Anselmo came out wit Type O and did Kill All the White People. Coal Chamber killed the second stage and Fear Factory ripped the colons out of everyone in attendence.
Great show. Only $30.
Lynnard Skynnard in Municipal Auditorium about 3 months before the plane crash. It was a big deal because it was one of the first killer rock shows there. Also caused a big stink because of all the burns on the symphony's upholstered chairs from the reefers getting passed down the rows...
They closed with Free Bird and 4 guitars wailing away at the front of the stage with the system cranked to about 150db. Place went ing nuts.
Honorable mention goes to Stevie Ray Vaughn at a little bar in Dallas right before he hit the big time. wow.
I went to damn near 30 concerts in the 80's and 90's. Most of them with at least 3 bands each.
My top 5:
1: Def Leppard
2: Rush
3: Damn Yankees (with Ted Nugent)
4: Slaughter
5: Ozzy
I'm sure to catch for having Def Leppard #1, but I've yet to meet anyone who went to one of their concerts back in the 80's or early 90's who didn't agree that they put on one uva show.

Metallica x2 on Black Album tour (Meadowlands and Nassau Coliseum). Lots of pre-Black stuff for 3+ hours straight at both shows.
I'm like the kiss of death to rock shows. A plane crash is virtually guaranteed.
During the 02' olympics in SLC on one night I saw The Roots, Talib, Mos Def, Common and Erykah Badu on the same stage. That or Wu-Tang were probably the most fun concerts I've been to. Notable mentions to Damian Marley, Page & Plant and Groundation.
On the flip side, I've seen the Chili Peppers 2x and they sucked ass on both occasions.
Ahh..the old lala paloooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuzaaaaaaaa....
Some that stand out:
Tom Petty
Bruce Springsteen
Aerosmith
David Bowie
U2
Eric Clapton
Allman Brothers
Elton John
Robin Trower
Neil Young
Pink Floyd
Mix Master Mike w/Rahzel (1999), Liks with LL Crew opening(2000), both Buckethead shows i saw in 06 - he played for about 2.5 hours each time. The three times i saw Bernie Worrell he was awesome, he had Will Calhoun on drums the last time in 2006. Primus was also awesome both times i saw them, Tour De Fromage was the last time(03), when they toured playing sailing the seas of cheese in its entirety.
Went to all the Lalapalllooooooouuuuuzzzzaaas...but the one concert where I just couldn't help but step back and watch the band perform was smashing pumpkins
