No surprise at all here. This was going to happen.
Let's hope so -- if only to stop some of the otherwise-incessant the ing around this forum.
Is this legit? Can someone please confirm this?
Of course it's KT.
Just hope it ain't for more than 2 years.
Spurs are boring, btw.
Nice
Thanks Gogatos!!!!
Excellent. The Spurs were too thin at the center position to let Thomas go. Plus, this makes that lost pick from the Seattle trade much more palatable.

San Antonio, TX -- (Sports Network) - The San Antonio Spurs announced the re- signing of forward/center Kurt Thomas on Tuesday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A 13-season veteran, Thomas was acquired by the Spurs on February 20 in a trade with the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for Brent Barry and Francisco Elson. In 28 games for the Spurs the 35-year-old averaged 4.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 18.7 minutes per game.
Thomas played in all 17 playoff games for San Antonio, averaging 4.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 15.8 minutes. The TCU product averaged 6.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 70 games between San Antonio and Seattle last season.
In 817 career games with the Heat, Mavericks, Knicks, Suns, Sonics, and Spurs Thomas has averaged 9.7 points and 7.4 rebounds in 27.3 minutes.
McDonald gets owned again. Denver news beat him to it.
I hope its for tow years w/a team option on the third. I am very interested to see for how much $$$ because the Spurs could then go after someone else to replace Barry and hopefully Finley. I don't want Finley to come back unless its for the min.
Good news seeing how if he left we would be very thin at the "bigs" position.
Question is - are our bigs good enough to help get us over the top?
That is good news, the roster is starting to take shape:
1)Parker, Vaughn,
2)Ginobili, Mason,
3)Bruce, Udoka,
4)Duncan, Bonner,
5)Kurt Thomas, Oberto, Ian
DPG,
wanna try adding George Hill to that list please. thanks.
and now to sign hill & gist and call it an offseason
Hate to say it but....NOOOOOOO they are not!!
Is Hill signed to a contract yet?
No the bigs are slow and/ or unathletic. Ian is still a work in progress and the spurs will need him to get into the rotation.
You really doubted this would happen?
This was a sure thing of happening.
Its still good news, smart ass.
we knew CM wouldn't sign with us, but making it official was still bad news.
Good news. Much anticipated, as well.
Ignore him.
When they win a championship he es it wasn't done with less losses.
You can feel free to add him when he is signed. Until then, my list is 100% correct.
Uh, hes gonna sign the standard contract sunshine.
There is no negotiation, hes at a set salary scale.
