Just hit escape and it goes away without having to close your browsers.
There's a difference, that one changed your browser settings and if you had a session manager plugin it never stopped even if you closed your browser. This one will at least stop at some point and doesn't really touch any settings except the window size and position.
Still stupid, but at least it does no damage.
