CHICAGO (CBS) ― Published reports say the White Sox have acquired Ken Griffey Jr., pending Griffey's own approval of the deal.
Fox Sports reported Thursday morning that the White Sox had acquired Griffey from the Cincinnati Reds. A source told Fox Sports that Griffey would mostly be used in the outfield, although there is no obvious spot.

Great move by the White Sox.
Konerko has been struggling with the bat, Swisher can go to first base, and then Griffey plays left or right field.
Fantastic move by the White Sox today.
Where is he going to play? DH?
Nope, corner outfield
Griffey will fit in perfect with the White Sox.
When you want to keep him for a day out of the outfield, just DH him.
This really really makes the White Sox tough to beat.
Nope...try CF. Sox already have Dye and Quentin at the corners. Its been years since Jr. has played CF and he doesnt look like he is in any kind of shape to play CF. Plus if you DH Jr. then what happens to Thome. Trade makes no sense to me for the Sox
Neither Quentin nor Dye are centerfielders.
Griffey is still a decent ball player, but this isn't that big of a splash. And, as some of the previous posts suggest, it actually doesn't make much sense for the Sox because now they'll have to play someone in centerfield that doesn't have much range at all. It's not a bad move, but doesn't completely make sense either.
