A person close to James said the Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward would strongly consider playing in Europe if he was offered a salary of "around $50 million a year," according to ESPN.com.
Lebron Jamess' current deal expires after the 2009-10 season. Many teams, including the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets, are trying to create enough salary cap space to make a run at James, but none could offer a contract beginning at even $20 million a year.
The person added that Russian team CSKA Moscow and the Greek team Olympiacos have already contacted James, but added that no monetary or contractual discussions have taken place.
But..I will add this about Bron. Any Euro team stupid enough to pay him this much money should be in Amsterdam smoking hashish. If they are going to pay this much out, they should just get Dirk to go back over there for much less money.
