Good question. I'd say he cuts into massenburg's. Either way, I see signing Malone as a insurance policy as well...with Timmy's knee not 100%, same goes for Rasho.

Sato or Marks are even money on getting cut.

As for minutes, I really think it'd depend on matchups. If teams have strong post players then Malone gets more run.

If they're more long/athletic it'll be Horry and Rose seeing more time.
