Also, pray for my mom. I had to tell her the news over the phone because I knew she would want to call my uncle ( her brother) as quickly as possible.
That and I didn't want to tell her such upsetting news when she met me right before church tonight
My soldier cousin's name is Louie. His sister, Joy, just called me.
Louie is in Afghanistan and was driving a tank, I guess, when they hit a bomb.
Louie lost his arm in the explosion and is burned on 42% of his body.
He is in surgery now. Depending on the seriousness of his condition, he will be flown either to Germany or back to the states afterwards.
Louie is only in his 20's- is young than me- has only been married a few years and has young kids.
Louie's wife and my aunt will be flying to wherever he is in the hospital, so please pray for peace and travel mercies for them as well.
Thank you.

I'm so sorry about the bad news. I hope he pulls through. He'll be in my thoughts.
Geezus thats horrible news being as though he is so young and has a family already. Hopefully he comes out of surgery well.....![]()
Wow sorry to hear that. My little bro is in the army and so far he has been to Qatar (sp?) and other than that just Alaska, Virginia, and Korea. He tells me that he still needs to do a tour in Iraq and I am dreading it.
I really am sorry about what happened to your cousin
Very sorry to hear about your cousin. You and your famlily are in my prayers.
Thank you, everyone.
very sad to hear angel, Godbless him and his family...
Oh my. My thoughts and prayers are with him and your family.
I will be thinking and praying for you all, V.
That's terrible. Best wishes to your cousin and his family. God bless.
That sucks badly. I have a cousin who is 18 and drives a hummer in Iraq, and I'm scared as of the exact same scenario. Good to hear he has made it through; please keep us all updated.
I'm very sorry to hear that.
May the Lord be with him and your family. The best thing you can do to help him is to pray.
God will judge those responsible for such a wicked act.
Oh Angel I am so sorry to hear that. Your cousin and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
That's awful news. I'm sorry. He and the family will be in my thoughts. Hopefully he's able to make as speedy a recovery as possible.
I just received another call from my cousin Joy.
Louie is out of surgery and stable.
His arm is gone from the bicep, she said, and he is burned on his legs, head and face.
The military is flying him to Germany to continue treatment.
My aunt is on her way to be with Louie's wife now. My mom talked to my aunt on the phone and said my aunt is coping very bravely.
Thanks again for the kind thoughts and prayers.
I hope everything comes through alright.
that's horrible news.
Thanks for the website for soldiers. I will pass it along.
I'm sorry to hear that. Thoughts are with your family. God bless you and your family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Angel_Luv.
God Bless, I wish the best for him and your family.
Oh no, Angel. We'll be praying for him and your family.
they're in my thoughts
Sis, I am very sorry to hear about you cousin. You, your cousin and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Your cousin will be transferred to Germany for care and when he is stable enough then he will be transferred stateside for care. He may go to Walter Reed or here to BAMC. If he comes here, I know the ambulance service that takes soldiers from the Medvac plane to BAMC...I WILL MAKE SURE HE IS TAKEN CARE OF(I still have connections over there!) I have a friend that is at Walter Reed and I can see if he can keep an eye on him for you if he is sent there.
I hope he will be transferred here, but where ever he goes... know that he will get the best care. I have seen the care, dedication and professionalism that is given to these wounded soldiers. The people who work ICU at the military hospitals are the best. He will be in good hands. Let me know if you need anything. God Bless your cousin Louie and your family.
V. you and your family are in my thoughts & prayers!
