Roy will need 4-to-6 weeks to recover from Thursday's arthroscopic knee surgery according to team athletic trainer Jay Jensen ... [snip] ... "He will definitely be playing by the time the season starts,'' Jensen said.
Jay Allen just reported (unofficially) on Gavin Dawson's Morning Sports Page on 95.5 The Game that Brandon Roy's arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus was successful this morning and no extra surgery was needed. Indications are that Roy should have a speedy recovery.

Big hitters from Allen: "injury was minor damage ... surgery cleaned up that damage ... could be back on the court in a few weeks."

No cartilage tear. Not another Greg Oden scenario.

I'll have more on this as soon as possible.

4-6 weeks is a long time. Hopefully he learns from his great uncle Greg and avoids the couches.
