I saw it. I figured it had to be a local commercial but it wasn't!
anyone else watching the olympics?
this was on a few hours ago, but i was watching a movie, so i recorded the olympics..
anyways - there was a budweiser commercial, showing a club in beijing, i believe, and the dj or rapper was wearing a tim duncan home jersey..
i just thought that was kinda cool. anyone else see it?

it was followed by a funny rocky spoof/budweiser commercial - between the first and second set of women's volleyball.

I saw it the other day. I was actually shocked.
I know of 4 music videos in the last few years where the rapper is wearing Duncan jerseys too. I think TD's demeanor gets him more fans than people here think.
I think it's got more to do with people wanting to be associated with winners, and not wanting to wear the same played-out jersey everyone else is wearing.(The teams colors don't hurt either)
Whatever the reason, more pub for Tim and the Spurs is fine by me.

Duncan is God, therefore he sees everything.
Duncan has fans all over the world, and lots of them. He's a winner, and he wins in the right way. It's wonderful to see his jersey out there.
I remember a while back I saw a video by the Lox or someone from the Bad Boy camp wearing an away TD jersey. Must have been one of his MVP seasons.
Tim Duncan needs to do a tie-in with these commercials and music videos where he cuts a rap album, joins a gang, and kills someone in a drive by.

I'm telling you, media execs all over the world are PRAYING for Tim Duncan to every get caught ing it. He'd almost get a free pass for it too because he's just so bad ass. Like in his old Visa commercial where he just stares at the car salesman to get him to lower the price and the cop to lower his speed limit.
If you ever woke up and turned on SportsCenter to the headline "Tim Duncan rapes white female hotel concierge" or "Tim Duncan Found Guilty of Running Illegal Dogfighting Ring" or "Tim Duncan Sent to Prison for Murdering Pitbulls" or "Tim Duncan Flashing Gang Signs in NBA Game?" or "Tim Duncan Starts Brawl at the Palace of Auburn Hills" or "Tim Duncan Suspended 38 Games for Role in Nightclub Stabbing"........His jersey sales would quintuple, no one would go to work that day because it's Tim Duncan ing up. That's like the preacher's daughter getting videotaped while having sex and her dad finding it the next morning at 3AM while he's surfing LimeWire. He'd become the Don Corleone of the NBA.
