Another free agent shooting guard may be hitting the open-market.

With Mike Miller in town, the Timberwolves are unlikely to re-sign free agent Kirk Snyder, according to The Star-Tribune.

Coach Randy Wittman admitted that retaining the shooting guard, who averaged 7.3 points per game in 36 contests for Minnesota last season, is a long shot.

Admittedly, I don't know much about Snyder. Should this guy draw any interest?

Now that the Spurs have sold their free-agent soul for another year to Michael Finley, is the door now closed on any other possible FA moves for this team?

Kirk's biggest problem has been his outside shooting, particularly from the arc. He is a good finisher and a physically strong player but you'd like to have your shooting guard hit more from the outside than Kirk does. I haven't noticed anything remarkable about him, including his intensity. He comes and goes. He has the athleticism and physical build to play strong on-ball defense but for some reason, no consistency.

He has played for 4 teams in 4 years, so there is something missing in his play. Kirk is not going to pull big money, just as Q-Ross will not.

I would love to use the LLE on this guy. He has the tools to be a very good player. He can be a shut down defender and is a good scorer. The best think about him is He has the size to play SF which I think is his best spot.

He is only 25 and if surrounded by other good players like we have he would prosper.

Oh and to top it off he can get to the rim and finish strong, something we need very badly.
