Why don't you wait until the MRI before you start spazzing out about surgery? He may or may not need it.
Manu most likely needs surgery to get his ankle back to anywhere near 100%. My orthopedist surgeon told me that, as a non-athlete with a similar injury, recovery time is 6 to 8 months ---without vigorous stress on the ankle for a year. The Spurs FO needs to decide whether to kiss off this season or risk the 2009-2010 season as well. MANUAT100%ORNOTHING

Now a tad off the subject. The big Osi will have surgery and miss the season for the New York Giants. I know this cos its a fact. I havnt heard anything about Manu and a season ending injury. Hold yours horses.......
a doctor like me would wait for the result of MRI and other diagnostic tests before jumping to a conclusion. may be you have to have an appointment with another orthopedic surgeon.
