I am about 70% in a movie script I am writing about my friend from the 1978-1980's era his name was Tank. he had a garage that had an attic we hung out there 24/7 there was always someone there.
You need weed,beer,sex? Tanks pad was the place to be. We always used to meet there before any school functions. If you wanted to know anything about anyone from Jefferson High school Tanks pad was like MySpace and Google all wrapped up in one.
You people here at ST need a place where you can meet up 24/7. Someone with some land donate a small barn and have music and a refrigerator,and www access.
You guys can meet up after work, or just hang out. Maybe your wife wants you out of the house. Maybe you just need a place to talk to someone.
What this world needs is more places like Tank's pad.

Sounds like a place my friend had in his house. It was an oversized closet that was basically the hangout room. We called it "The Cave."
Good times.
But I think the 70's show kind of burnt out this idea for a film.
You make a great point. I started the script in 1993 and I waited to long with all the other projects I have going I missed the boat. Maybe I can change the script to a serious theme maybe have a serial killer/rapist who invites his friends over for one last gtg...............
Funny thing is I had a movie idea about a man who was able to go back in time and he went back to the day he lost his KISS 5th row concert ticket but then Detroit rock city came out so I abandoned the script.
these days you have to be fast before you lose out.
I hate when that happens. I told Chris Duel back in 1996 lets make a talent show website where people can showcase their talent and others can vote on them and now you have YouTube. I still hate Chris Duel to this day.
