yes, I tip. The delivery charge barely covers their gas. That is why its there.
So when you order a pizza do you tip the pizza deliver guy? I jusr ordered a pizza from pizza hut and the delivery charge was $2.50, im thinking about not giving a tip..

Do they make delivery people pay for their own gas?
I'm experiencing deja vu.
There's a 30 page thread on tipping already. Look it up.
If they get minimum wage, don't tip. If they get less than minimum wage, tip.
Then why bother to come in this thread and post your bull ?
dude i used to be a delivery guy and getting tips is to be expected from customers.
tip the guy 2$ and be content
Waiting for Manny's opinion on this one...
I'm just doing my part to help the specially enabled.
I always tip $3.
As long as they don't park in the driveway.
To answer your question, I tip $5.....if the pizza is hot.
$3 if it isn't.
Before, when I used to order pizza, I would usually just give the delivery person whatever was left over after paying (anywhere from two to four dollars).
Borosai, I just saw your sig.
Good stuff!
I do.
most def tip!!
Honestly, I dont know. I always thought the $2.50 is what covers it. Im just throwing blindly but I think the way it works is they pay for their own gas initially and once their paycheck comes the company adds on to their pay according to how many deliveries where made.
I don't know about all places, but usually the driver pays for his own gas unless it's a company car. The driver probably gets $1.00 of that $2.50 for gas. The rest of the delivery fee is to offset the cost of paying for the 10-20 minute round trip, drivers wages.
Tip a pizza driver at least $2.00. or at least 10%, which ever is larger. Add or subtract depending on the service, but remember. The driver is not the one who cooks it.
I tip a standard $5.00 plus change on normal orders. However, I drove for Dominos as a second job between good jobs. I am one that know the value of working for tips, and deliver drivers take the job for the tips. Not the minimum wage. Tip less than $2.00 and you will be classed as a loser.
Disclaimer: I'm not political. I just thought it was an easy target.![]()
I tiped her 3 bucks is that enough for one large pizza?
