    Was US supposed to make up some story about the Obamas' children becoming pregnant out of wedlock or about abuses of office by the Senator just to keep things fair?

    Besides, it's hardly like US is the paragon of hard-hitting journalism. It's not as if various issues with Obama haven't been fleshed out in the national media, notwithstanding US magazine's willingness to do a fluff piece on him. And it's not as if the media have been reluctant to do fluff pieces on Palin, despite US magazine's willingness to report on some real issues surrounding the VP nominee.
