What is vbookie money and how did I get $500 worth of it??

Everyone gets $500 to start. Look around the forums (like there's one stuck to the top of the Spurs forum right now) and you'll see a thread that's a vBookie. You can bet on any of the vBookies that we post and win more vMoney. It's not real money; it's just for fun.
The vBookies are on anything from games to politics. We (timvp and I) set up the topics but you can always suggest ideas. If you run out of money, you get $25 more so that you can try to build up again.

The beautiful thing is, while there's nothing to buy with it ... if you bet yourself down to $0.00, you'll automatically get another $25.00 to build back up....like I have. Over and over and over.
