    ------------------------------

To pass the time until the start of preseason, let's see how SpursTalk.com ranks the Top 50 Spurs. Those eligible for the list include all players, coaches and owners. I don't want to define "top" too narrowly, but I think the best way to do it would be to think of the list as a list of the 50 most influential people who have helped make the Spurs one of the most successful franchises in the history of sport.

For more information on what we are doing, check out this thread.

In this thread, we will vote for spot number 25. Please place your vote. If you will, also explain in this thread why you voted how you did.

    Thanks.

    P.S.

Poll options listed in alphabetical order. If you want to vote for someone not on the list, post in the thread and I'll add the person.

Voting will end 2AM CST Wednesday morning.

    Please vote only once.

I'm going with Billy Paultz here but it's probably also time to consider Willie Anderson.

Man, this is getting tough. Paultz was definitely "influential" as a Spur, everyone loved the Whopper and his stats were pretty impressive. Willie Anderson put up very good numbers during the transition years between the Gervin and Robinson eras. Mario Elie played a large role in creating the championship at ude of the franchise. I wish I had three votes.

I think I'm voting for the burger boy this round.

Willie Anderson almost won ROY, but I believe Mitch Richmond beat him out by a few votes. Willie was pretty awesome for a while. His first game he put up something like 29 points and helped us beat the Lakers on opening night, which was pretty incredible considering how horrible we were and how great the Lakers still were.

Mario still gets consideration but I think it should go to Willie at this spot and perhaps Mario on the next one.

Barry is a great role player but I think there are several Bruise Brothers who are just as deserving.

I'm fine with either Elie or McDermott for the next two spots, but I'm gonna go ahead and rep McD on this one.

It's understandable that someone who began to follow the team after Manu's arrival would have no respect for Mario Elie's contributions.

    I voted for Elie.

He bring the fire to the 99 team.

That last shot against the Rockets in the regular season was great.
