did they give a timeframe?? or is this just anohter teaser?
Just heard it after dropping the kids off at school.
did they give a timeframe?? or is this just anohter teaser?
confirmed... charlie parker just said it on the radio...
Just heard the news on WOAI...
NBA FInals - Malone + Duncan vs Shaq + Mourning. Side courses of Wade, Manu, Parker. ABC will be very, very happy.
No timeframe, but that is his decision
badass... if i weren't so sick right now maybe i'd be excited...
All they said was, "sometime before the All-Star game".
I hope they wait until after today. I bet somebody 50 v-smackers on that one.
oh god... "I know a guy who knows who knows Karl"
Just another lead...
This is BS.
Nothing's official yet... just another tease.
Just telling you what I heard on WOAI.
Sec. I'll bet ya 200 v-bucks that it happens.
Oh... I know it's gonna happen ICB, and I'm not saying your report was BS...
I'm just saying that this word isn't "official".
Pasacrita just called the Morning Extravaganza...now they're giving it in their 20-minute updates...
That's true. All they said was that they "expect Malone to sign" before the All-Star game. But talks could still fall through if nothing is official.
They need to have a prayer service at Arneson River Theater led by DRob when they introduce Malone to San Antonio. DRob needs to baptize Malone and absolve him of his past.
He's still a piker though.
I heard the report by Walter on WOAI in the car also. Walter was quoting the Utah newspaper this morning.

Malone may soon sign
By Tim Buckley
Deseret Morning News
Former Jazz star Karl Malone has decided to soon sign a contract with the San Antonio Spurs, Salt Lake City sports-talk host and future Jazz TV play-by-play man Craig Bolerjack said Thursday on his KZN-AM 1280 afternoon-drive radio show.
Speaking later Thursday night, Bolerjack said "a source close to" Malone "indicated Karl would sign with San Antonio" sometime before next week's NBA All-Star break.
Assuming he does not change his mind, something he is known to often do, Malone would play his first game for the Spurs sometime after the break, Bolerjack said the unnamed source said.
The report by Bolerjack, who formally signed a five-year contract with the Jazz on Wednesday to be their new TV voice starting next season, could not be independently confirmed.
Malone's California-based agent, Dwight Manley, could not be reached for comment Thursday night.
The Malone camp has said previously that Malone would announcement a decision — to either retire, or sign with the Spurs — by the end of this week.
The NBA's No. 2 all-time scorer played with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, but a knee injury sustained in last season's NBA Finals kept him from signing with any team at the start of this season.
Numerous teams initially expressed interest in signing Malone when he became healthy, including San Antonio, Miami, Minnesota, New Jersey, Phoenix and the Lakers.
Malone since eliminated every team from consideration except San Antonio, and met there with Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Spurs star Tim Duncan last Saturday.

This guy wrote the article in the Deseret News.
Alonzo Mourning is going to sign with the Heat. With this reality, it is IMPERATIVE the Spurs sign Malone.
Finals 2005:
Heat vs. Spurs
Without Malone, it's Shaq and Zo pounding the crap out of Tim. Malone will be the factor. Lose the hate; bury the hate.
This is a good thing.
The best Power Forward to ever play the game wants to be on our team.
I was "ify" about signing malone, but with zo on his way to the heat... Malone is a MUST sign.
Since Miami is about to sign Mourning I think it would be a good move for the Spurs to sign him...
