Hey I would love to have the Presidential debate at my Alma mater. But this is ridiculous.
This isn't a joke.
Per CNN.....
I guess Palin needs to be in DC to help solve the economic crisis.....![]()
Hey I would love to have the Presidential debate at my Alma mater. But this is ridiculous.
Just as surprisingly, Clay Aiken came out of the closet today.
^RACK!!
Wow. that. better answer some ing questions if she's trying to get elected.
So why don't we have the VP debate then Friday, John?
Perhaps he wants it to be postponed because of her disaster interview with Katie Couric.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/...n4476173.shtml
Couric: You've said, quote, "John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business." Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?
Palin: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie - that, that's paramount. That's more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.
Couric: But he's been in Congress for 26 years. He's been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.
Palin: He's also known as the maverick though, taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he's been talking about - the need to reform government.
Couric: But can you give me any other concrete examples? Because I know you've said Barack Obama is a lot of talk and no action. Can you give me any other examples in his 26 years of John McCain truly taking a stand on this?
Palin: I can give you examples of things that John McCain has done, that has shown his foresight, his pragmatism, and his leadership abilities. And that is what America needs today.
Couric: I'm just going to ask you one more time - not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation.
Palin: I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you.
I love it when a politician gets asked real, tough quesitons, and they have no answer.
Unfortunately, it happens very rarely.
I wish all politicians were questioned in this same manner.
Has anyone asked Obama or Biden what THEY have done to reform Wal-street in their time in the Senate? They, also, have both promised to do so IF ELECTED. Just saying, as far as I know, they would have to answer, "No". Of course, they would be more skilled at dodging than Palin is. She did very poorly on that exchange.
What the does that even mean at this point?
She didn't look hot in that interview, and really, that's all she has to run on is the sex appeal.

I just want to know if any McCain supporters can answer why she gets shielded from the same level of press scrutiny as the other 3 guys. Isn't the way the McCain campaign uses her strike you as sexist?
Wow. Now I understand why they keep her under wraps. I'm not just talking about the quoted parts. Stuff like this:
...is terrible. I have to think she was nervous.
I will feel better when there's no chance she'll be running the country. I'm as white as a sheet.
i was looking forward to biden ruining palin like no other, god it wouldve been a bloodbath
they should put off the election too
After watching that interview with Gibson, I was convinced he was more qualified to be Veep than her. Add Katie Couric to the list. She's so ing clueless.
I almost feel bad for her...almost. She got herself into this. If she can't handle tough questions, then it's her own damn fault.
Is McCain wishing he had Romney right about now? He'd be making a strong play for Michigan, independent voters in general, and his campaign wouldn't be on the defensive on economic issues.
Like the Marriott's of the world care about the VP debate. They're still pissy that they can't watch America's Got Talent until Dubya finishes his speech tonight. Thank God he's not preempting Dancing With the Stars - the economy might collapse under the amount of paid text messages ABC is missing out on.
* sound of crickets chirping from the right *
Even the National Review thinks this reeks of desperation. It was jarring to hear Charles Krauthammer praise Obama.
I hope people checked for frost.
Everything is going to go as scheduled...I think McCain will show up at the debate Friday at the last minute...then Palin-Biden will be just as scheduled as well.
ROFLROFL
"He's also known as a maverick though"
wtf???? What a stupid bimbo !!![]()
People in the media and Barney Frank are saying a deal is gonna get done soon. Keep in mind this is before McCain has left for Washington.
I thought for sure this thread was a joke when I saw it....
