Yeah.
Do we have another winner takes all playoff game on monday night?
sweet
go cubs today
then let both win or lose tommarow
i'd love to see a winner take all game monday night![]()
Would be great. I remember last years Pads vs Rocks was great. Lol, if the Phills could choke then it would be Phils vs NY Monday, and loser plays the Brew Crew Tuesday.
won;t happen cause The Mets appear to be choke incarnate
They won today 2-0 behind a complete game shutout from Santana on 3 days rest.
Dudes got a rubber arm.
what would be craizer phillies mets and brewers are all tied
Yeah I'd root for that, but I think the Phillies are winning today, so that point is moot unfortunately.
Best we can root for is Brewers loss today, and then both win or lose tommarow.
Jason Marquis is doing his typical act here.
Looks like hes trying to blow the game for the Cubs.
The Mets are cursing them outloud I gaurantee it.
i'd love to see the white sox and the twins tied for the AL central lead as well.
is there a makeup game that either team has to play? Cause they are seperated by half games
Chicago and Detroit Monday.
Did you just start watching baseball last month?
did u miss last season?
i wonder who's going to start if theres a game monday. most likely pedro martinez vs dave bush, i guess.
Bush pitched today so who knows.
Whoever pitched on tuesday of last week.
This illustrates WHY the Astros couldn't wait until after the season was over.
1. Let's say MLB postpones the entire Astros/Cubs series until after Sunday.
2. At that time, a Wild Card tie between some combination of Florida, Houston, Milwaukee, New York, Philadelphia, and St. Louis was not only mathematically possible, but even seemed likely.
3. On the last day of the season let's say the Mets and Brewers are tied for the Wild Card, AND Houston was still mathematically alive.
4. What in God's name do you do then? Houston would have to play, and win three games against the Cubs in two days. They would likely only face players left off of the playoff roster. The Astros would then have two play in a two game tournament. (I would have to figure out the tie breakers, but I think Houston would have to play the Mets.) This means you would have to start Oswalt in one of the tie-breaker games.
5. More importantly, I don't see how you can expect to play what could prove to be five games and three series between Sunday and Wednesday night. I couldn't even imagine how much the Astros' players and manager would have ed over that.
So what happened last year that would make you think that 2 teams tied at the end of the year wouldn't have a 1 game playoff?
Your not even making sense.
Typical ass troll.
