Just a coincidence that Cali. is screwed, Michigan is screwed and they are WAY liberal; with a history of liberal policies and high taxes, while Texas is kicking economic ass.

Has nothing to do with tax policy, or liberal regulation. Nothing at all. It doesn't.

California and Michigan's woes are the DIRECT result of failed BUSH policies; and the conservative agenda in Washington, and the Iraq war. Reagan started their spiral with supply side economics. Texas cheats, and has been siphoning prosperity. Cheney arranged it all; the megalomaniac.

Liberals will never admit that their programs and policies ultimately lead to ruin. Our country is now reaping the seeds sown by liberals decades ago. They will point their fingers and blame everyone but themselves - but the bottom line is you can't keep giving people a free ride in life.

California cut their taxes with Propositions xxx, repeatedly, but still expects the govt to provide services.

The incredible CA r/e bubble also bubbled the property taxes, which are now deflating. Same is true of everywhere where the r/e bubble was dramatic.

As always, anything that happens in America happens in California first. Even the Europeans are California-watchers as well as USA-watchers, because they have learned what happens in California will very probably happen in Europe, too, good/bad/indifferent, economic, social, political.
