I'm drawing the line in the sand.

How will Matt Bonner do this season?

    Will he be successful?

    Or will he bust?

IMO, I believe he will succeed.

In what way will he be a success? Getting off the bench for 5 minutes a game! What are you expecting from Bonner to be called a success?

Agree. I see him packaged in a trade for another low end reserve type player.

Bonner will be a solid player for Spurs this year. Nothing outstanding but he will be decent. I see him averaging 7/4 in 20mpg with some DNP-CD when the matchup is bad for him.
I particularly don't think he will be outplayed by Tolliver or that Spurs will try to dump him. Spurs won't shop him around the league but he could be traded in the right deal as salary filler.

For a $3M per year player, it isn't that bad.

Players who are viewed unfavorably by the coaching staff don't redeem themselves in this organization. If Bonner does it he'll be the first.

he is already a bust. Like when Beno was a bust years before he was traded, same with Rasho. I don't know why this front office takes a while to dump white boys who need to be gone sooner

In all honesty bonner came in and hustled his butt off. but for the most part was lost, who knows maybe after a season and some camp time he wont get lost. its his defense that sat him down towards the end and in the PO's. he also had no post game, he reminds me of horry. all i wanna do it shoot from the arc. thats not gonna help timmy out one bit. Like all the bigs pop brings in they sit in his doghouse or get traded the following season.

    Dude is a bust.

He's slow, can't defend (has improved but still sucks), can't post up, and has weak court vision. The last being his biggest weakness.

Wake up to it every morning and don't got a problem with it. But, it can be distracting and sometimes even embarrassing for instance at a meeting or in church.

    Oh wait. Nevermind.

Bonner will be more productive than Horry has been in the last couple of years. For some reason Pop loves the old guys, if given a chance, bonner will put up decent numbers..

In this instance, Bruno's definition would qualify as success.

I believe Bonner will be a major contributor, some nights, when the matchup is right.

However, as Bruno suggest, there will be nights when Bonner recieves the DNP-CD.

If Bonner can provide solid performances during his time on the court, I believe his size and abilities will be intrigual to the team's success.

If he is in the rotation for 20 minutes a game and averages 7/4 the spurs are in trouble. If he averaged 20 minutes per game that would only mean there would be significant injuries to the frontcourt players.
