whats this sensational taste ur talkin about......
I was just wondering about Scott's place last week.
Good find, S y, and good luck, Scott.
You know, Scott may not be the only Scott out there.
wtf is scoot then? hahahah scoot or scott take ur pic
Well his user name is Scott.
I was all, "Hey! I know that guy!"
Ah, close to the house. Gonna have to check it out.
Sweet... sounds like a pretty badass place that I'll def have to check out.
Scott, can you give a quick rundown of the beers you'll have?
The building looks cool.
Will you have circus music on the jukebox?![]()
I heard microsoft was sponsoring the opening event
...and a loop of the Redskins special teams on the TV.![]()
Mr. Martini and I will have to scoot on over, and give it a shot, Scott!![]()
Yo tambien.
I'm definitely giving it a try in November and will bring friends.
Good luck, scott!
Hey C ay, thanks!
Didn't know the Express was going to give me a blurb - that explains the sudden jump in web traffic (launch of REAL website coming soon, I promise!). Yeah, we are right around the corner from opening - I'll try to pass the word along here without coming off as spammish.
bb, we'll have 10-12 of our own brews on tap at any given times. Part of my philosophy is variety, so we only have 3 or 4 "staple" beers you'll find year-round, everything else will be rotating its way through on a seasonal or one-off (two-off if really popular) basis. I'm lucky my brewer shares a similar passion for the ecclectic, and we aren't out to knock off Industrial Lite - we are about pushing the envelope in our little corner of South Central TX. One of my favorite things I love to hear people say is "I never knew beer could be like this" and I hope to hear it daily from my clients.
While I'm sworn to secrecy by rule of my brewer (who I pay a salary specifically to enact and enforce such rules upon me) on specifics of the beer's we'll open with - but I can let you in on one we've made public. Na'cho Sancho Ancho - a Munich-style es with a hint of ancho chiles. We'll also have the base beer - Bat Outta es - without the ancho addition. I can't go into more detail on that end for fear of conventry, but I can tell you that my brewer and I are heavily influenced by innovators in the American craft beer scene and have a fond admiration for those who dare to challenge the status quo in Belgium.
One more nugget for my SpursTalk beer geek friends. I had previously feared that a hop shortage would prevent me from offering an IPA when we open, but I can now say such will not be the case. It appears this year's hop crop was better than expected and we have not had trouble getting our hands on the precious little humulus lupulus. There will be IPA. It will be hoppy. It will be over 7% ABV.
Cheers, and thanks to everyone who has shown an interest!
-Scott
are you cigar friendly?
and do you have TVs?
and congrats on the place, you got those t-shirts in a XXL?
Oh crap, I didn't know KEDA was a Republican...
He's white, drives a Jag, loves NASCAR and manages food service workers. He's not only a walking stereotype, he's one of my closest friends.
I thought since he likes Jordan he was alright....
i look forward to trying your IPA. Good Luck!
