This is true, but offense means nothing if the team as a whole can't play defense for .
I believe this is the first time Duncan, Ginobili and Parker all reach 20 points in the same game, and it still wasn't enough to hold of the Heat...![]()

Duncan did not appear to have his 'A' game...

"Duncan did not appear to have his 'A' game... "
He doesn't have an A game, he's neutralizable like today, when he is the persistent target of the defense, and MIA played good paint defense all game. Stop Duncan, stop the Spurs is the objective of every defense, but not all defenses can execute it. MIA did. Van Gundy had a plan and it got executed.
Tim only got only 1 FG/qtr, but nutted up big at FT line, 10/12. MIA kind of ran a punk-a-dunc tactic, make him make his FTs, and he did, and pressure him into bad shots, and he did, 5/14, when he normally get 7 or 8/14.
13 pts from the Spurs bench in 65 minutes. 16 for MIA bench. So this was really starters vs starters, and their starters wanted it worse.
