Not that there is anything wrong with watching the Grammys.
The last time I watched the Grammys, Gladys Night and the Pips were taking home trophies.

I stopped watching when Jaime Foxx came out. Because seriously Jaime, you're an actor, stop acting like Ray Charles.
P.S. I had to watch Alicia Keys because she's so hot.
If Jaime Foxx was, in fact, playing and singing, I'm more impressed with him as a musician than as a comedian.

The grammy's are crap. When Evenesence wins best new artist, I can only wonder what the is going on. (last year)
Seriously, these awards are ridiculous. They don't award the best albums of the year, but the not so best albums and songs with at least moderate commercial success.

All award shows suck becaue they are based on people's opinions and there is no hard data or formula to go by.

well, ray was a great movie...and he'll get the oscar...he's just milking it i guess....i was under the impression that he was not allowed to do the singing for the movie, so maybe he just wants to throw his own musical talents out there as added insurance....it's overkill....the oscar is his already.

Agreed. the grammys, emmys, and academy awards shows. usually suck ass talent wins these things, like later on in the Academy Awards, Don Cheadle should win for Hotel Rwanda, but Leonardi DiCrappio will probably win it so the with these things.
Leonardo did a fine job in The Aviator.
I haven't seen either, but I think simply based on my interest/disgust with the Rwananda situation, that one will hit home more.

DiCaprio is a great actor. If he hadn't been in the most successful film of all time, he'd get more credit as an actor. Watch The Basketball Diaries.
He was also very good in The Aviator, even though I wasn't wild about the movie.
I've seen The Basketball Diaries. It's the only decent acting he's done.
