My advice is to treat it like a great Bonner performance: see if it ever happens again before rejoicing.
29 points on 10/12 shooting, 4/5 from 3-point land, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals in only 20 minutes of action tonight.
As a Mavs fan, should I be excited about this? He's been an immature headcase his entire career, and it was a meaningless preseason game against the Kings.

You're probably right. I'm kind of intrigued by the Mavs this year. I don't really know what to make of them. I think their ceiling is bouncing back to a top four seed and winning a first-round series, and their basement is finishing ninth and out of the playoffs with around 44 wins.
Yes you should be excited--green, although still raw, is an explosive, athletic beast that can tear down the rim. If he can hit his FTs and a mid range jumper, defend better that will complete him as a player. Bonner, well he's a pussy.

Now Cuban can give him a 6 year extension like Marquis Daniels.
Thanks for the youtube link![]()
Gerald Green has talent that's for sure. His biggest knock has been immaturity but I figure he's bound to grow up sooner or later.
i think pierce said it best, the kids of talent but he needs better work ethic.
Hopefully Green realizes that this is one of his last chances and he needs to act accordingly.
I'd love to see Green get it together in Dallas. I loved the kid when he was a Celt. Cool guy and is a sick dunker. If he has the right mindset, he is going to be really good.
I wish we still had him.
