Guitar Hero: World Tour/Rock Band 2 Compatibility

So, I'm tryin to figure out which bundle to buy, hoping that ONE is compatible w/ the other when BOTH become available. My biggest fear is having 2 sets of FAKE drums sitting in my living room -- already understanding the illegitimacy of "playing" these songs in the first place.

Anyone know?

They are both compatible with each other. Using the GH drums with rockband, you're going to have to use the cymbals for one of the 4 RB colors (prob green). Using the rockband drums on GH:WT, both cymbals will probably be assigned to the green pad. I have RB2 (had to go with this one since I already have a ton of purchased songs for it) and think the new drums are way more solid and quiet than the RB1 drums. I guess it comes down to personal preference for you if you aren't already commited to one or the other.

I know for sure the Rock Band 2 drums work with GHWT.

Sony and Microsoft stepped to the plate and made it known to developers that these games all have to be compatible with whatever equipment you have. Both games will work on both sets of "instruments".

I've been thinking of getting the $199 XBox since my buddy gave me an extra hard drive he had. I've never been much for games, but I enjoyed playing it at a store and my GF also likes them so I'll probably get one. Right now I'm leaning towards rock band 2 since a cymbals pack will be available next month for the drums.
