OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Guard John Lucas III was waived Monday by the Oklahoma City Thunder after being inactive for the team's first three games.

Lucas was caught in a logjam at point guard behind starter Earl Watson, first-round pick Russell Westbrook and third-stringer Kyle Weaver, who was acquired in an offseason trade.
He was the only player added to the roster after training camp.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Guard John Lucas III was waived Monday by the Oklahoma City Thunder after being inactive for the team's first three games.

Lucas was caught in a logjam at point guard behind starter Earl Watson, first-round pick Russell Westbrook and third-stringer Kyle Weaver, who was acquired in an offseason trade.

I feels bad for him. After Thunder release him he and agent try to get contract with Greek team PAOK and they refuse and say he is not good enough for starting point guard for team trying to make third place in Greek League so can qualify for Euroleague next year.

After he was cut last year by crappy Italian club after he average 6 points and 1 assist in Italian League and now have PAOK (they are again in era where club has big budget) refuse sign him say he is not good enough this must destroy his confidence as player. He is small but he is not THAT bad. PAOK could have use him.
