    Hi I'm a newbie here.
I'm reading and enjoying this forum since almost 2 years, I've finally deciced to post today.
I'm French but I'm currently living in Brazil : my english is very rusty right now but I'll do my best.

Here under a TP interview in French. I have no time right now to make the translation but I think that there is a lot of guys here that can do it.

Globally he is saying : no panic it's just 3 games, we are capable of winning without manu.

He is also saying that it reminds him the beginning of the 2004 season and that they should have won the two games against portland and the suns.

The last part is regarding the fact that he has voted for Obama and he is very happy of this election. Apparently the rest of the team seems to be pro Obama also : "Cette nouvelle nous a redonné le sourire après notre revers face à Dallas (98–81)."

I did this translation very rapidly, there might be some mistakes but at least you will have the spirit.

Tony, the Spurs have just concedeed a third defeat facing Dallas (81-98).The begining of this season is laborious.
Tonny Pariker : It is true we hoped to have a better start. For the opening of the season against Phoenix, it has been hard during the whole game (defeat 103-98)
Sadly, it didn't go our way at the end of the game. Two days later, we had a match ball against Portland but we missed a 3 meters shot.
And tonight, we just met a very good Dallas team. They did play very bad against Cleveland losing by a very big home defeat. We felt like they needed a revenge tonight. By shoting 40% , we couldn't hope for victory.

Do we have to worry for the Spurs ?
Tony Parker : (Laughs) Wait, we still have 79 games to play ! No, really, there are no worries to have at the moment. It reminds me of our starting season 2004. We were 9 wins for 10 defeats with me and Tim Duncan on the bench. But there is no problem, we will raise our heads.

Manu out for injury, is this absence bad for the team ?
Tony Pariker : No, it doesn't change a thing. Without him, we should have won agains Phoenix and Portland. It is true that it is good to have him playing with us but one must not exagerated. We can win without him.

Tonight, there are also the american elections and the victory of Barack Obama, what is your feeling ?
Tony Parker : This is an historic evening. I voted for Obama and I am very happy to know he will be the next president of United States for the next 4 years.I hope he will manage to follow his program and then change a lot of things in the US and in the world.
We were playing against Dallas when the first results just arrived. It is after the game that we learnt the victory of Barack Obama. This news gave us our smile back after our loss against Dallas (98-81)

I, too, speak a little french. Let me give it a go. Remember, I did this translation very rapidly, there might be a few mistakes but at least you will have the spirit of the interview:

Tony, the Spurs have just concedeed a third defeat facing Dallas (81-98).The begining of this season your team looks very, as we like to say in France, crappie.

Tony Parker : My stats were magnificent, even in a defeat against Phoenix (defeat 103-98). Sadly, I missed a three towards the end of the game. I laughed when I realized I had a teammate wide...I mean wide open on the wing. Oh, well. I watched the replay of the game, and man, I looked great.

Two days later, we had game against Portland but one of our fossils, umm I mean players, missed an easy 9 footer at the buzzer. The thing that disappointed me most about that loss was that myself or Timmy weren't able to shoot a three pointer at the end to try to win that one.

And tonight, well, we just met a Dallas team that showed up to play. Cleveland proved that the Mavericks are likely lottery bound, slapping the life out of them the night before. Unfortunately we have a front court that couldn't score on a French , and hence the loss. I, however, once again looked...magnifique.

Do we have to worry for the Spurs ?

Tony Parker : (Ha Ha Ha....HA HA HA...Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!) That's re ed! Last time I checked the schedule there were still 79 games to play! No, really, 79 games...you can look them up yourself. It reminds me of when we started the 2003-2004 season 9 and 10 with me and Tim Duncan on the bench. And we all know how that season turned out. So, no, there is no problem, all we have to do is ditch Bonner and Thomas for some decent frontcourt talent and all will be fine.

Manu is out with injury, is this absence bad for the team ?

Tony Parker: (Ha Ha Ha....HA HA HA...Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!) That's re ed. We should have beaten Phoenix. We should have beaten Portland. While it's true that Dallas kicked the crap out of us, I can't say as Manu....Manu...whatever his last name is, would have helped us one damn bit. That guy is overrated...how many Finals MVPs does he have I ask? Yeah, that's what I thought!! I...umm...I mean we, can win without him. Sure we can...yeah. All I ever hear is MANU MANU MANU! MAN-WHO?...that's my mantra. Next question .

Tonight, there are also the american elections and the victory of Barack Obama, what is your feeling ?

Tony Parker : This is an historic evening. I voted for Obama and I am very happy to know he will be the next president of United States for the next 4 years. I, like Barack, am basically a white man that merely appears to be black, and so he and I can relate a lot to one another. After I voted, right before the game, someone informed me that I'll likely pay an additional $400,000 in taxes next year on my income alone once Barack's tax plan is enacted. In fact, this man...he said he was some sort of Cuban...let me and my teammates each know how much additional tax we'd be paying next year...seems like we came out flat after that, and lost 98-81 to the Mavericks.

    Great, we keep in touch.
For the rest I have to confess that I'm a spurs fan since the arrival of Tony. I became also a huge fan of Tim and Manu and I think that I will never understand the litle war here to know who is the best between Tony and Manu, it's crazy they're both great players, the fans should just enjoy to see them playing together.
