Damn good choice.![]()
My favorite player to watch is probably Manu Ginobili, just because he's so unpredictable and herky-jerky. -- Kobe Bryant
[LakerGod]
But, Kobe is...Manu, buh, uh, Kobu, Mane, uh, buh...skjerrt, bzzz, clack, clink, Banu, Shaq, buhhuh....
[/LakerGod]
This is really gonna make some lakers fan sick. I love it!!!!
It's cool that Kobe can be objective, after Manu burned him so many times. And Manu doesnt need to dunk and celebrate (or whinewhen calls dont go his way) to do it.
It's pretty cool that Manu's getting a lot of attention and respect from other great players. Hope they don't hang out together too much![]()
But Sequ said Manu sucks....
![]()
, he's my favorite player to watch also, good to see me and Kobe have the same tastes, dang, that just don't sound right, ok we agree on one thing, Manu is great to watch.
Manu = ManureBut Sequ said Manu sucks
So we can add Kobe to the list of the national commentators and obviously smart coaches who really like Manu's play.
This kind of surprises me. I can remember Phil RIPPING Kobe on the bench during one of the later games in the 2003 series when Manu left him clutching at air and spinning the wrong way with a wicked crossover for an easy score at the hoop.
Manu is good.
For me to poop on.

Sequ
This doesn't surprise me...Kobe was very complimentary of Manu last year as well.
Kobe has kind of an undeserved bad rep about not respecting other players, mainly because he played with Shaq and Phil, two of the most classless individuals to ever be in the NBA.
The truth is Kobe is usually complimentary of other players...I remember when Duncan won his first MVP and everyone was saying he was undeserving(including Shaq), Kobe said Duncan was clearly the MVP.
So no, I'm not surprised Kobe said this, Manu truly is one of the most exciting players in the NBA, those that think this are not homers, it's the truth...
And Kobe is just being honest...
Other players may have more total game than Manu, but I don't think anyone can match his showmanship.
He's in the Bird and Magic class of showmen....that's why guys that have seen it all...like Kevin Willis, Drob, and Barkley, love to watch Manu...that's why he was even on Magic Johnson's(the greatest showman ever) All Star Team...that's why he is playing in the AS game...great players and coaches know how special Manu is...regardless of whether or not he scores 20ppg.
This is the time for Manu to shine in the ASG and prove he really belongs there, when he gets compliments from Kobe it's a big deal!
Not around here it is!
Kobe's just sucking up to Manu so he can get soem of those nasty passes instead of TMac getting them all.
It reminds me of Dr. J, when asked during the peak of his highlight reel career with Philadelphia, who his favorite player to watch was. His answer: George Gervin
Manu is a hot dog.
Sequ didn't you just say he is better than Lebron James? and BTW you wanted us to trade Manu for Vince Carter, so does that mean Vince Carter is better than Lebron?
If Manu is a hot dog, then what is Vince Carter?
Man I thought Whottt and I would never be on the same page. But you put it real well Whottt.
Secondly im a Laker fan and i can appreciate what Manu does, hes a great player who uses his quickness and his body to his benefit. I dont understand why Laker fans can not appreciate someone with the talent that Manu has. I think your making way to many assumptions dude.
Manu is solid. I like his game.
But to say that Shaq and Phil are classless acts is weak. A better take is needed.
Yeah, I agree, how can anyone not like Manu's game? He's a little reckless sometimes, but his defensive intensity and ability to elevate the Spurs with his energy is invaluable. He's a good all around player that only needs to improve on his patience.
WTF? Shaq and Phil are classless acts. Better take? Do you have a few spare hours? But to say that Shaq and Phil are classless acts is weak. A better take is needed.
