The downside of greatness..

face it Spurs Fans, we did a a of a job for those 's during our prime years. Every team goes through this phase, you can't be great forever. But we can recover, and it's how the Spurs as an Organization can handle this gradual downfall into the blackhole. We either panic and make horrible moves that will doom us forever, or keep it cool and settle with what we have and accept the need for a change. We must handle these defeats as just a stepping stone to where we need to be and prepare us for our future. As of now we just aren't athletic enough to pose any real threat to any of the big teams in the NBA. So as bad as this may sound, consider this season a "learning" season, or a "get it back together" season to prepare for future seasons. We can handle this like the Bulls did when they lost Jordan or we can handle this like the Lakers did when they lost Shaq and come back "re-vitalized" in 2-3 seasons max. Expect losses, heartaches, and the graying of hair if your a hardcore Spurs fan like myself. But also understand it's for the better. Our prime has passed us and its time for a re-modeling. We still have our Core 3, but as far as everyone else goes..they are easily tradeable. we need a dominant PF to replace duncan, and slasher to replace manu, and a PG to guide the team and replace Tony in about 4-5 more years if this team wants to stay comepe ive in the long run. We dont need anymore spot up shooters, non-slashers and unathletic BIGS who cant even throw it down. When is the last time you seen a spurs alley hoop or a nasty Jam on someones face?...When those start to fade, it's def a sign. So all in all, get used to some ugly basketball Spurs fan's until our team ges 100% healthy and or the Front office gets thier minds striaght and actually make some good trades/signings for the team and for the fans.

But no matter what im always a diehard spurs fan thru thick and thin..so hang in there people dont count us out just yet we are preparing for 2010.

Remember the 2004-2005 Season when the Lakers were out of the Playoffs and none of the front running s fan base was showing up around ST? I do. It wasn't that long ago.
