So, with only three weeks into the season and perhaps three more away from the return of the most accomplished back court in the League, the Spurs are off to a rough start. And now the hardcore fans are calling it in, like the rest of the L, on the Spurs. Talk of lottery picks and better luck next year is all over this forum, and I for one am drawing a line in the sand. On this side of the line stand the true Spurs patriots, people who are logical enough and faithful enough to realize the Spurs are the gold standard in the league. That there is more than enough time (5 + months!!) for the Spurs to get the Slice twins back, get the team on track, bench Bruce Bowen for Udoka, and be the best team for the last 60 games of the season like they have been for the entire decade! I for one, am a realist and I refuse to give up on a sure thing.

On the other side of the line stand the pussies. The fake Spurs fans. The fans that want to be downtown when we raise the Championship, and the first ones to talk ignorant during the first three weeks of the season knowing two of our three best players return is just around the corner. Have some pride and dignity. Don't be some bandwagon hopper like the ten million Celtic and Laker fans that seemed to magically re-appear last season like it was 1985 again. Your a traitor and you know it, and will shamelessly support the team you called dead and lottery bound once they get it going in late January. Your a pussy if you counted your team out and you should stay on that side of the line. Half of the Spurs "fans" in this forum belong on this side of the "line" and yet will persist they are with the Spurs through thick and thin but WOULD gloat at everyone who stood on the right side of the line if the Spurs did tank.

So what side of the line do you stand on? And don't be afraid to call out the traitors and pussies. We ain't dead until we are out ten games with less than a week to go and that ain't happening.

You should have made this an A or B vote. That way, you could have had all the posters lined up nicely in the sand.

With Ginoboli and Parker out with injuries for a significant amount of time, the Spurs with be hard pressed to come back and get into the playoffs. If that does happen, maybe they are bad enough to get into the lottery, which means, even though they have a disappointing season, they would be able to draft in the lottery. I have posted a similar scenario in other threads. I hope the Spurs can get healthy this year and make a run. Either way I am and will always be a true Spurs fan. I don't need some General Patton wannabe ordering his troops to draw a line in the sand. Geez buddy lay of the sauce.
