Whatever happened to the Pop Show? I live in Alabama and I'm a Spurs fan and I use to listen to this show over the internet every week? Whatever happened to it?
The hosts did a questionable skit if I remember and Pop decided to end his involvement. I never heard the Iverson skit so I'm not sure how bad it was, but I'll assume it wasn't great considering the knuckleheads as hosts. At the same time, I never felt that Pop liked doing it and this was probably a good way for him to get out of it.
Yah The Old Ticket 760 Radio Host Vex Pasacrida. I'm Not Sure How U Spell That Guy's Name. But They Made Sum Dumb Skit On Iverson. It Wus Talkin All Kind's Of Stuff Bout Partyin N Gettin Crazy In San Antonio But None Of It Wus True. It Wus Kinda Stupid. But That's Whut Happind To The Show!!!!!!!!!
If you ask me, that whole incident was just the reason Pop was looking for to bail on the show. He hadn't liked it since Jay Howard left. Maybe they can restart it on ESPN 1250.
They never caught on about the skits...they had done a few prior to that too, its just the spurs front office just wasnt listening then. Someone actually had to call about the iverson skit ti finally get something done.

I like Allen Iverson but I'm not a huge fan of his. Still, I thought it was of bad taste as well.
Little known story.
Pop prefered doing the show with Don Harris, whom he could trust not to be a child and not to embarrass the Spurs. When Ticket 760 brought a host from Dallas who came to town saying he was a Mavericks fan, Pop expressed his preference. Pop said he would do the show with Don Harris, but Ticket 760 kept trying to force the Dallas guy on Pop. Pop said, forget it. That was the end of The Pop Show.
