Does anyone in here have any SACD collections or DVD audio? I'm always looking for good albums in those formats but can't really find anything ourside of jazz or classical. I enjoy jazz and classical but I have them on digital copies and they don't really use the format all that well IMO. I'm looking for any good suggestions.

    Ones I own:

NIN The Downward Spiral (SACD) 5.1 - Great album period. Makes good use of the format.

The Flaming Lips Yoshimi battles the Pink Robots (DVDAudio 5.1) - Probably my newest favorite surround disc. Another great album

The Beatles Love(DVDAudio 5.1) - Very cool mix of hits from the Beatles, and George Harrison was the driving force behind it.

Pink Floyd Darkside of the Moon (SACD) 5.1 - Nothing needs to be said here

Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (DVDAudio 5.1) – Its an ok disc. Good for the hits

NIN With Teeth (DVDAudio 5.1) DualDisc – NIN is my favorite band so I like it. Another aggressive use of the surround sound

Tchaikovsky Classic (DVDAudio 5.1) – Classical music. Decent mix, very clear.

Dire Straights Brothers in Arms (DVDAudio 5.1) – Love the guitar on this album. Money for Nothing!

Depeche Mode Black Celebration (DVDAudio 5.1 ) – One of Depeche Mode’s best. Mix is ok but music quality is excellent.

Chevelle This Type of Thinking (DVDAudio 5.1) – Decent album for Chevelle. Very good mix

    Not good:
    Linkin Park Reanimation
The Crystal Method Legion of Boom
    Crossfade

i don't have that extensive a collection, but the DVD-Audio of Queen's A Night at the Opera is fantastic. prophet song is pretty trippy. i also have the Alan Parson's quadrophonic mix of dark side of the moon. that one is quite good and is done by the original engineer which the SACD version isn't.

Where did you get that quadrophonic mix? I've looked for that one and haven't been able to find it. Also, does that one have a separate LFE channel?

I'm going to pick up that Queen's DVD. I really like all of their albums, I just never know with live cd's.

i got the torrent about a couple of years ago. it should still be out there somewhere. i don't think it has the .1 channel. it's a pure quadrophonic mix.

it's a studio album. not a live one. also, it's a DVD-Audio disc. not a DVD. it's the one with, the forever-tarnished-by-wayne's-world, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Sorry, I totally misread your post. For some reason I read Queens of the Stoneage. They have a live DVDA out. How I got that our of just Queen, I don't know. I've seen that Queen DVDA out there. I'll look on amazon to see if they got it cheap.

Fat Bones is an old school poster from way back in the PMSA WOAI era. The man has 1/2 terabyte of music. I would listen to the vato. He found me songs I could never find. I have been looking for some old school like The Hunt,Trillion,Lone Star, and the killer Dwarfs and he came through like a champ. he even hosted the music files online so you can download them to your HD. You all should be tossing his salad!

I would be more than happy to do it myself if he would ever show up at a ST gtg!
