Just got my first Spurs Jersey! (#9)

Since i have been in college/high school the majority of my time as a serious Spurs fan, I could never justify coughing up the cash for a jersey, authentic or otherwise. Well, now that I've graduated I can finally begin to expand my collection of Spurs gear.

So I purchased a Tony Parker road jersey online. It's an Adidas authentic replica. It is actually my first jersey that I've ever bought, sad as that is. But as such, I'm left wondering what to do with it. I play basketball in a league on Monday night, and I can't help but think wearing #9 would give me a little extra motivation to play hard out there.

Just keep it, or frame it. I hate wearing jerseys personally, but I like to collect Spurs things. But, if you want to wear it at your game, then ball out of control! It is just stuff....

My first jersey was a David Robinson Team USA jersey, that was great. Then when I was in 2nd grade, I had some wierd infatuation with the new franchise the Toronto Raptors and got a Damon Stoudamire jersey, and then I got a Timmy D jersey and my latest, a Tony Parker home jersey 2 seasons ago!

When I got my first jersey (silver Manu), I didn't want to do anything to get it dirty and only wore it to Spurs games and functions.

Then I realized I dropped 50 damn dollars on a shirt, and people might as well see it.

Since then, I wear my jerseys out. But usually only on big game days.

I like shoes, as you can see in my sig! I have the pair in my sig and an old pair of rebook spurs shoes that I cannot find a pic of. I have a bunch of magazines from when they won from SI and Posters of those covers.

I only had one jersey (the throw back adidas silver Parker) but I gave it away because I hated wearing it. I prefer to just wear my shoes and a Spurs hoodie for the games!

i have a bit of a shoe fetish if you havent seen my newest thread yet check it out... where'd you get those spurs shoes at? i was looking at a different style of spurs shoe to buy but i kind of like the one in your sig more. any help finding the shoes in your sig would be appreciated.

I have a Parker authentic road jersey I bought at the AT&T a couple of seasons ago. I wear it out some and to games. I say go for it if you want to wear it.

My suggestion-- wear it until it starts to look a bit used & worn, and then frame it. This way it has a nice authentic feel on your wall, like those old jerseys in the Basketball HOF.
