    Here's info on the 5k run/walk

    Spurs 5K Run/Walk

    Please join Spurs player Brent Barry and wife Erin at the Spurs 5K walk/run on Saturday, March 26th at the SBC Center. With each registration, you’ll get a free Spurs ticket and a portion of every fee will be donated to the Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Task Force. The Spurs 5K Run/Walk is a running event organized by the San Antonio Spurs. This will be the first ever Run/Walk hosted by the San Antonio Spurs. The Run/Walk will be a fun event for all ages and will be raising money to fight child abuse. We’ll see YOU on Saturday, March 26th!

    Entry Fees:
    5K Run/Walk: $25 per person

    Ticket to Spurs vs. Clippers or Spurs vs. Trail Blazers

    75 & up
    An awards ceremony will be held immediately after the race outside the SBC Center.

    To ensure the safety of all our participants, bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers or carriages, roller skates or blades, and animals will not be allowed in the race or on the course.

    I'm entered in this race and, presuming its a fairly flat course as it is around the SBC Center, I'm planning on cracking 18:00 in the 5K, hitting about a 5:50/mile pace goal, hopefully faster.

    me.... I'll be about 2 minutes behind you.... 5:50 miles... that's smoking!!!

    PENCIL me in..... however, leave it to the Spurs to charge 25 bones for a race....

    The for the 25 dollars, it's for a good cause,alot of people waste more than that just to go out to eat.

    I'll be there to race, although not as fast as some (8.35 mile).Maybe we can all meet up to represent the forum.
    BTW Gopher, 25 dollars is about average for an event like this, it's for a good cause anyway
