Scene: 4th quarter @ SBC Center, Spurs v. Rockets
Spurs leading by 7 with 3:57 remaining
Rasho standing wide open on the low block
    Manu sees and feeds Rasho

    If given this situation...
*Amare would throw it down while still going up
*KG would double clutch slam it with a post dunk, then give that Sigourney Weaver/Alien scowl.
*Shaq would do tricep-presses with the rim
*Matt Bullard would step back and hit a three

    and what does Rasho do?

He lofts a 1.5 meter floater that bounces high off the rim and finally chooses to stay in the cylinder and softly nestles into the net.

Rasho was solid on defense again with 3 blocks and he went 4-4 from the floor, but.....

Throw it down, Rasho, throw it down!

I think Amare would have done some pushups as well, I think you get extra points for that or something.....

3 blocks and he went 4-4 from the floor
all in limited minutes due to a couple of total Bull calls.

The above is a solid night for any center outside Shaq, Z, and Miller

    its a good night.

    BUT, gotta find somethin.

i think his tryin to say that rashos floater is high percentage of not makin it, wherelse if u dunk it and not miss it is another question, hence i would like to see rasho throw it down hard and hang on the rim by his elbow and come down do a few pushups, get back up do the VC expression "its over".

I like Rasho and I defend him regularly in here. Sometimes it's just T-Park and me and some of our Balkan Buddies...however I've always been frustrated by his lack of aggressiveness on offense.

I call it like I see it. It's the truth.

One more thing...I wasn't at the game but I would have loved to have seen the reaction on the Spurs bench when he took the floater.

If Tony gets $100 from Timmy for his dunk tonight, then Rasho should pay Timmy 20,000 Tolars for that floater.

    "Slovenia is NOT on Balkan"

Bill Gates' dumbed-down Encarta even has Slovenia in the Balkans:

    "Balkan Peninsula,
peninsula in southeastern Europe, bounded on the east by the Black and Aegean seas, on the south by the Mediterranean Sea, and on the west by the Adriatic and Ionian seas. It comprises the countries of

    Slovenia,
    Croatia,
    Bosnia and Herzegovina,
the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,
Serbia and Montenegro (formerly the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia),
    Albania,
    Greece,
    Romania,
    Bulgaria,
    and European Turkey.

The northern boundary is geographically defined as the Sava River; the lower Danube River from the point, at Belgrade in Serbia, where the Sava joins it; and a line drawn arbitrarily from the upper Sava to the Adriatic near Rijeka, Croatia. This boundary is easily recognizable on a map and, with a few exceptions, encompasses the countries generally defined as Balkan states, but it has no physiographical justification. It is historically justifiable because the region so defined (together with Romania and excluding Montenegro, Dalmatia, and the Ionian Islands) cons uted most of the European territory of the Ottoman Empire from the late 15th to the 19th century."

I went nuts in chat after that floater:

    DUNK THE F^%#($% BALL!!!

And the Slovenians need to get back to us when they've reached an agreement on the Balkans.

    Amen.

If that shot had rimmed out I would have destroyed some inanimate object in my home. Why on earth would you not dunk the ball when you're 7 feet tall and 2 feet from the rim?

I didn't watch the game but I liked your post, Solid D. That seems high risk and silly not to just lean in and flush it. What's up with the high bouncing floater ?

Sean Elliott is just a (pleasant) homer.
He called Rasho's floater and other FGs a "great soft shooting touch"

Timmy didn't have to pay Tony for the dunk last night...after the Spurs broke out into a safe lead Timmy took and made a 3 pointer so their bet was a push...I was laughing my ass off about that when it happened...

Rasho had a great game. He should have taken that up strong. There is no excuse for that, PERIOD! That same play could have cost the Spurs a win. I don't know why he doesn't go strong to the hole.

I would have to say Yao. Rasho is only soft on offense, usually stands pretty tough on defense. Yao is like a better rik smits.
