As much as how I hate most of your dumb treads, I would have to agree with you on this one. The only teams in the West that matches up well with the Lakers are Portland and Phoenix. Portland should get better and better as the year goes along while Phoenix will just implode.![]()
Oh my lord, I am quivering! I'll face the music when we lose. Pardon me while I leave and cheer myself up by watching game 7 of the 2000 WCF.
The only thing I'm scared of is you starting up another thread.
I have that game on my Zune!
Why have I never thought of putting games on my PMP? Nice one IronMexican...
it was almost as bad as game 6 vs. boston last year.... almost
no but seriously why you gotta bring up game 7![]()
uh no its not cuz game 7 was snatched away from your nuts. boston was just an beatdown
Not really. The Blazers are probably the worst and least intimidating 13-6 team in NBA history. It doesn't take much talent to make lucky jump shots. Any team whose shot is falling is bound to win some games, doesn't necessarily make them a good team.
The Blazers easily beat the Pistons in Detroit, man-handling them. That Pistons team doesn't look as bad after beating the Spurs tonight.
The Blazers aren't a jump shooting only team. Roy gets to the basket and goes to the foul line as well an anyone. He is to 5 in FT attempts.
The Blazers are dominating teams in rebounding like tonight where they got a ton of offensive rebounds. That is largely because of their size. They have 4 players- Oden, Pryzbilla, Aldridge and Fre- at or near 7'. Also their other players are tall. Roy is 6'6" and he is often the shortest guy playing. Rudy is 6'7" and Outlaw and Martell are true long SF's. They are top to bottom a very tall team and that gives them certain advantages especially considering that they aren't slow. Most teams with their size are also slow.
The Blazers success depends on just how good Roy and Aldridge can be. LA just BEAT DOWN Rasheed the other night on both ends of the court. Roy has been playing incredible in the 4th quarter and he is also a good defender.
phoenix cant match up with the lakers at all..
we have yet to see the real houston rockets and the spurs and utah jazz, utah jazz look dominant without d-will in the lineup.. they gonna be a of a teamm this year.
Are teams scared of an outfit whose big man rotation is Erick Dampier and Desagana Diop?
If not, why should they be of Greg Oden and Godzilla?
Didn't know 12-7 is dominant. Utah is the same team it was last year. Mediocre defensively, fouls too much, and no interior presence.
Portland IS a jump shooting team... check out their points in the paint stats... near the bottom of the league
The only team in the West that can matchup with the Lakers is the muth in Mavs![]()
Now that we have SpursDynasty's endorsement there is nothing left to do, but win the le.
We are a 3-point shooting team to a large degree. However, we are different than just about any outside shooting team that has existed before because of our size. We have a HUGE team and we OWN the boards. We will be very difficult to beat.
So which quality teams have the blazers beaten so far? They probaby trashed phoenix, my memory is fuzzy there.
We've lost twice to Phoenix in Phoenix. Looking forward to playing the Suns in Portland.
The Lakers aren't necessarily playing good basketball right now and they are still 14-2. There is no way, barring major injuries, that the Blazers will be able to compete with the Lakers in May. That Laker team will be firing on all cylinders with a monstrous offense and likely a much improved defense from what were are seeing now.
Remember that Horry shot in game 3, back in 2002? Memories!![]()
The Blazers are improving daily and already they have only 1 less victory than the Lakers. You should be VERY AFRAID!
