Florida 4 the gun and had it Loaded and in his SWEAT PANTS! in a public place. but seriously ur gonna throw a guy in jail 4 shooting himself isn't that punishment enough. i mean ur basicly throwing a guy in jail 4 being a dumb and keep in mide this is coming from a guy that hates eli manning and plaxico and thinks he is a lazy but i mean he has a lil kid and wife and ur gonna throw him in jail for being stupid and shooting himself and not just for a little bit but 3.5 years come on ok maybe if he accidently shot some one else but not 4 shooting himself... what do u think?
While I see your point, I have trouble feeling sorry for someone that makes that much money and is still dumb enough to make mistakes like that.
I guess money doesn't cure jackass, but take yourself out of situations in which you feel you need to carry a gun.

I think the point is that he didn't shoot himself because he was being careful. It could have just as easily been somebody else.
Ever since Rudy, NY does not want unlicensed guns floating around public locations. They're going to send that message whenever they get the chance.

Under New York law, a "licensed" handgun means "licensed by New York." The fact that the gun was purchased legally in Florida means nothing.
Florida doesn't have "licensing." You go through a background check when you purchase the weapon. A concealed carry permit is not a "license." The permit allows you to carry the pistol. In Florida, a permit holder may carry any gun, so long as they did not obtain said gun illegally.
A "license" means you are legally en led to own a pistol. In other words, to legally carry a pistol in New York City you need: 1) To obtain a license to own handguns; 2) Obtain a permit to buy a particular gun; 3) Obtain a New York State concealed carry permit; and 4) An endorsement/exception to carry that particular licensed pistol in New York City.
In contrast, in states like Florida and Indiana, a state carry permit holder can walk into a gun store, buy a handgun, conceal it, and walk out: all perfectly legal so long as the entire transaction occurs in the permit holder's home state.

and yeah, seriously, do we need antoher plax thread. i mean this is almost as bad as espn bringing in every swinging who claims to know plax just to get their 3 seconds of fame and portray "a new side" of him. im seriously getting fed up with espn, and not just bc of this plax thing. they take any story and run with it for days. and show it all day.
