the steel curtain was never this good...
The resurrection of the Steelers steel curtain of the 70’s that is, the Steelers haven’t given up a 300 total yard game this season, and have only given up 5 100 yard rushing games in the past 5 years. Congratulation you get to witness history in the making as this Steeler defense sprinkle a little bit of heaven upon your eyes. The Steelers crippled Cassel and the patriots, and slapped Tony Romo and the Cowboys. Now you get the rare privilege of watching them march to the super bowl as that great and infamous Steel Curtain!

no the only reason the colts beat pitt is becasue of the 2 int's thats y it wasnt because they were better it was because ben screwed up ok ben gave the colts the game just like romo gave the steelers the game every one has bad days. if you knew anything you would kno that
wow beefanus is actually spelling pretty decently.
Steelers = overrated. Cakewalk schedule/divison. Not to mention their defensive numbers are massively inflated due to playing a bunch of teams that completely lack offense. Bengals? Browns? Texans? Ravens? Please...
And the teams that beat them didn't need to get 300 yards of offense, because they were too busy making Ben look like the ty quarterback he really is, as they constantly had great field position because of the plethora of interceptions he was throwing.
Lol, so the Steelers simply have a bad day every time they lose? Give me a break. Pressure, along with Ben's inablity to get rid of the ball in a timely manner is what led to those picks. The opponents deserve some credit.
Romo didn't really give the steelers the game. That pick at the end was not his fault at all. He read the defense and made a good throw. There was a completely missed assignment by one of the OL (which led to a guy being in his face in like 1 second), and then Witten slipped on the play which led to him being out of position to make the catch.
Not having a smash mouth runner like Barber really hurt them on that day, in picking up those extra 2 yards that count when you need to kill clock. Having Barber would have made a huge difference.
My Steelers have the best defense in the NFL. In fact, you probably have to go back to the 2000-01 Ravens (and maybe 2002-03 Buccaneers) teams that won it all to find such a physical, intimidating defense.
Yeah, the O-line sucks hind . Yeah, Big Ben plays like dog most of the time, and even Leftwich looked better in the limited time he was on. Yeah, the running game is not good enough. All that adds up to a mediocre offense.
But I'm hoping Ben gets his together in the next few games. If, and it's a big if, Ben can start making decisions quickly and not get sacked as often, they might very well get to the Superbowl. The Colts and the ans are still major obstacles in their path, but the Steelers did play a well-rounded game to crush the Pats. That's the kind of rhythm they need to do get into on a more consistent basis.
Oh, and lol, Raiders.
Who has the best defense then? You've eliminated the ans, Giants, Bucs, Ravens and Steelers with the above criteria.
You would expect the home team to have better stats but 9-16 3rd down conversions and zero turnovers, not to mention the W, is a pretty good Sunday afternoon for a visiting team at Heinz Field.
2008 Steelers = AFC North Division Champs
Can pull into a tie with ans with a win next week and I understand if that the tiebreakers favor the Steelers if that should come to pass.
Steelers may see Indy again.![]()
