12.6 seconds left, the game has been decided.

The defense was really bad tonight, couldn't get a stop... always felt in scramble mode... too many open 3-PT shots for the Spurs... Dirk missed some uncharacteristic FT's/shots in the 4th. I think he was fatigued, ended up playing over 50 minutes tonight. But the Spurs also executed well offensively.

Hard to feel bad about this loss at all really. 2OT loss to the Spurs? Nothing to be particularly concerned or worried about.

Mavs just need to finish this homestand strong with 3 wins.

The question still remains though whether this team can actually get better when Josh Howard comes back, or whether we're the same w/ or w/o him due to his lack of impact.

Probably the best game of the NBA regular season so far.

a line up of Barea, Kidd, Terry, Bass and Dirk was laughable to start OT

Fun game, knew Mavs were going to lose when you have Dirk playing without rest and Erica getting owned by Duncan.

Terry still can't handle the ball without TOs
Dirk never gets to the FT line anymore
Barea tries to play hero but his last jumper was ing stupid
    Erica is still Erica
Should have played Wright more than Breath
Man, Marquis would look good on this team. Avery.

Dirk is getting to the line 7 times per game this year. That's good

Barea's last jumper was not stupid at all. The stupid play by Barea is when the Mavs were up 2 w/ the ball in regulation and he challenged Bowen and airballed

I figured a poster like you would spin this to be gloomish and doomish.

Spoken like a true blind homer. There's plenty to be unhappy about. Spurs played great and the Mavs made plenty of mistakes to give the Spurs extra chances.

Dirk played 53 minutes. if the coach had managed Dirk's minutes a little better then mavs could have easily won.

then again, how could the coach know that this would be a doucle OT game?

IMO, once Dirk missed his 2nd FT, coach should have sat his ass down for at least 5 minutes

It's hard to take you seriously now. You know we weren't going 74-8 right? Why should I sit down and pout about a 2OT loss to the Spurs? The Mavs had their chances to win hte game, just didn't come through.. just like the Spurs had chances to end it in regulation/OT and didnt. Eventually, the Mavs ran out of firepower.

Yes.... Dirk could've made those 2 FT's... Kidd didn't have to tip in that rebound... Kidd didn't need to make 3's with foot on the line, are those serious problems? No thye weren't.

    You sir, are a troll.

He's been to the line 4-5 times the past few games. As a 92% FT shooter that's ty to not capitalize especially since we've seen that he can go to the line more than that.

    A 2 on 3 jumper is stupid

im more upset with Dirk's defense than anything else when he was caught on the wrong side of the floor and left Bowen wide open in the corner for the 3 that put the Spurs up 2 and changed the momentum

I guess because this is a team we could see in the playoffs. And this was a game that we had the ability to win many times but pissed away with stupid errors and terrible shot selection by our leader.

You're a troll if you think losing this game is acceptable. Losing a double-OT in San Antonio is one thing, but losing at home is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

He made sure the cameras caught him ing at Barea and Carlisle like it was their fault. He learned that crafty Devean George veteran move nicely.

This lose would have hurt alot more 2-3 years ago when we knew the mavs were contenders but nowadays after the loss when you think about it, you know this team is not going to win it all so it isnt as dishearting.

I remember a mavs suns game back in march of he 67 win season when the mavs lost to the suns in a 2OT game, it felt like they had lost in the finals again. But this loss isnt as bad bc the mavs arent on that level anymore

You realize we weren't going 37-4 at home right?

You realize we beat the Spurs on the road too?

Those stupid errors are correctable. A lot of things that happened tonight were correctable, in fact or were simply aberrations. The Kidd tip in, Dirk missing the layup, Dirk missing 2 FT's, these aren't things we should be concerned about in the long run.primary concern of tonight should be the defense if anything.

No loss is "acceptable", but we weren't going 74-8. So sorry if a 2OT loss to the Spurs doesn't get me too upset. I never see you on here complimenting the Mavs after their wins, even against "good" teams like the Hawks/Suns after you said the Mavs couldn't beat good teams. But after every loss, it's the same pessimistic bull ... and I like how I'm a homer because I don't take away much angst from this loss, even though at no point have I ever seriously said the Mavs are on the level of the Lakers, Cavs, or Celtics.

You must have started watching the Mavs after the Miami series, right? No wait, after the Golden State series....no no no after the New Orleans series?

The Mavs have been making the same mistakes for years now, if you haven't noticed. They haven't fixed them yet, what on earth makes you think they're going to fix them now?
