I believe that Pop misused him
Yeah, he shouldve made him point guard.
How exactly did Pop misuse him.
As you all know, I am not a big Malik fan. I believe that Pop misused him his whole career and now he has a chance to show his true colors. I printed this picture the night that it happened and has been posted next to my computer since and everyday I look at it and think:
Persevere
Conquer
Defeat
Overcome
Just Win.

Not a particularly great Malik moments, or special ones, or even successful ones.
But how many 6'4" guys would ever be asked to guard Shaq?
Just one.
The story of how he had to move back in with his mom during the lockout season because he was broke and not getting a paycheck.....

Sleeping on rugrats sheets, sharing a room with his little bro![]()
Malik's the best!
hypocrite
I like his dunk on moutombo in the finals also.
The wife has had the pleasure of meeting Malik on many occasions at HEB and she says he is a class act. I know the NBA is a business but it still sucks sometimes.
User,
Can you post your "Every move you make" tribute to Malik? It is a classic and very appropriate at this time![]()
Well at least Jim gets some action, I know being shorta nd useless that is nothing you would understand.
you're stupid.
Greatest memory is when I attended DRob's retirement ceremony game against Milwaukee.
Malik was the player that spoke the most about David and he was the one that cried.
Malik is one of my favorite basketball players ever. If I had a son in the league, I would want him to play with as much heart and with as much passion as he did each and every game. He was one of us, he was not gifted, he earned his spot on the team because he worked his ass off to get better and better. Sure he ed up, but so do we, and when he ed up, it was because he was trying too hard, and sometimes he would get on himself ever harder than Pop did.
I hope in the near future, even the haters will think back and wish we still had Malik on the bench or on the floor getting rebounds that only he and maybe Dennis Rodman would have tried for.
what is in the wrong thread?
every step i take every move i make every single day every time pray i'll be missing you
guys i did cry its true i just wish tim could have stepped up for him i wish him the best and may God bless him
P.S. Malik i know you will make other fans in NY but don't forget us your true fans i've always looked up to you like a big bro i always will love and cheer for nomatter where you are.
My favorite Malik memory was game 6 against Dallas in 2003. He hustled his ass off, got key rebounds, and sank his FT's. He was ready to throw down on Najera after a rather chippy foul, and I can still hear that fan screaming at him "Malik, you're a bum!" when he was at the FT line going for a 3 point play. If you have the championship DVD, pop it in and rewatch that 4th quarter. David never got on the floor.
Easy, Malik going toe to toe with Shaq for the le run, and doing a good job. Best ball he ever played.
