    The Cardinals have been offered Scott Kazmir for Rick Ankiel and two minor league pitchers.

    The Cardinals are supposedly close to deals for either JJ Putz or Brian Fuentes.

    Rays just reportedly picked up Matt Joyce from the Tigers for Edwin Jackson. He's no Ankiel, but he's a left-handed batting corner outfielder...and he's got some pop.

    I'm guessing they're going to drop out of the Ankiel sweepstakes.
