This one will come down to who runs out of gas first.
Gameday: Spurs vs. Hawks
By Joe Alexander
You can expect to see some tired campers tonight when the Spurs take on the Atlanta Hawks at the AT&T Center. It will be the second game of a tough back-to-back for both teams.
The Spurs beat the Mavericks in double overtime on the road Tuesday in Dallas. The Hawks ran out of gas in the final minutes of the game as they lost to the Rockets on Tuesday in Houston.
The Spurs will try to match their longest winning streak of the season tonight when they go for their fourth straight victory. The Spurs have won 10 of their last 13 overall.
The Hawks opened the season with a six-game winning streak but have lost their last two games. This is the third game of a four-game road trip for the Hawks, who lost in Dallas on Saturday.
Last night, the Rockets scored 32 points in the fourth quarter to come from behind and beat the Hawks 92-84. All five Hawks starters scored in double figures, but the Hawks' bench produced only 15 points. Atlanta's Al Horford played 31 minutes and scored 14 points after missing the previous game with an ankle sprain.
Here is the latest on the Hawks:

Three and half quarters of quality work won't get the job done in the NBA. The Hawks learned that painful lesson the hard way Tuesday night, getting outplayed in the first seven minutes and the final five minutes and change in a deflating 92-84 loss to the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center.

Jeff McDonald: Postgame ruminations
By Jeff McDonald
A couple of random thoughts, while wondering what kind of genius beat writer leaves the town without a jacket in December ...
* Spurs 133, Mavs 126. That might have been the Spurs' most impressive victory of the season. The le either goes to Tuesday night's double-OT marathon in Dallas, or that 77-75 home victory over Houston last month. Given Popovich's preference for teams that play defense, we think he'd vote for the latter.
* Still, the Spurs have scored 100 points in three consecutive games, which means they must be figuring something out. Pop seems to have settled on a rotation, saying Tuesday that Matt Bonner, Roger Mason Jr., and George Hill will all see steady minutes for the foreseeable future.
* The biggest development of late, especially since the returns of Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, has been the emergence of Bonner. After Tuesday's 13-point performance, he has now scored in double figures four out of the past five games. Bonner still won't be much use guarding, say, Dirk Nowitzki, but he can help the team with the way he's shooting the ball.
* It will be interesting to see how much juice the Spurs can bring to tonight's home game against the Hawks. They expended a lot of energy -- both physical and mental -- Tuesday night in Dallas, and don't have much time to refuel. Yes, the Hawks played Tuesday night, too, having dropped a 92-84 decision in Houston. But they are younger than the Spurs, and should have less trouble recovering.
Ime sounds down about his lack of minutes. I wonder if he will use this time to plead his case.
My friend said she saw Ime her church. The first thing I thought when she told me this was that he needs to pray for some minutes. Pray harder Ime!
lets do this.....................um, is bonner starting?
Let's hope yes.
Even if we don't win, last night's win was the win I wanted more-- it's in our division so it's more important and it was a statement game.
But now it's time to use some of our newbies and our youth -- george hill , bonner, tony and mason will all have to put forth major contributions.
We can do this.
Go Spurs!!

Pop please don't play JV. Please. He sucks ass.
Ummm.................... duh. Have you watched ANY Spurs games the past month? He's been doing exceedingly well the whole time.
Hawks call on LP. Can I get Spurs call for Duncan's 1000th?
Fuuuuuuck, gotta listen to the Hawks broadcast on LP.
Is this game available online???
Yes, it is. It's called League Pass Broadband. Seriously, people need to quit ing asking for a game broadcast.
This LP crap is amazing, how many spurs call this year, 3? I hate hearing other announcers, I can handle the national guys fine, but last night was horrible, with the comments about bowen pulling and grabbing when everyone does it...geesh, do you think its really something against the spurs? you cant tell me another team has only gotten 3 calls all year can you?
Is ST running really slow for anyone else? For about the last 10 minutes?
League Pass is a ing joke. Twenty games in, and we've had the Spurs broadcast team maybe twice? What is the problem with the Spurs production/feed? Enough of this .
Don't bite my head off, dude...just wondering. So, league pass has an internet broadcast service...okay, I'll check it out...thanks!![]()
Frustrating. It's running like it used to on game nights before the new servers. When Kori had to turn sigs and search off to ease the slowness from the traffic.
Everything else I'm running is fine, it's just ST.![]()
actually
The Spurs feed is on the online feed
