Truth be told, the honks at the 4-letter network don't know how to place a value on position defense. All they see is the "powder boy's" steals that lead to his highlight dunk.
Actually it could be Spurs related
" Lebron James is the best defensive player in basketball right now "
What does Bruce think about that ?

idk. ask bruce?
.
probably doesn't give a crap what anyone says - they can't take away his 3 championships.
Jackson's an idiot. LBJ isn't even the best on his team.

Lousy blowjob
He probably only watches the games he calls. And ESPN highlights.
I hate Marc Jackson.
If Lebron isn't, who is? Artest? Kirilenko? Bruce? Dwight? TD?
i never take the ESPN crew seriously. They're all idiots.
the majority of people that cover the NBA from a national media standpoint don't really know much about the NBA IMO, which is ironic since they are paid to talk about it..it's really ridiculous..Mark Jackson is one of the leaders..
Lebron has significantly improved his defense, but nowhere near being the top in the NBA..
the 3 best defensive players in the NBA are Duncan, Garnett and Howard..the big man can play solid 1 on 1 D, post D and most importantly, anchor an entire team defensively..as we've seen this year, our defense goes where Duncan goes..same with the Celtics, same with Orlando..
Mark Jackson is one of the biggest Spurs hater in the media out there...
That can be said for the NBAtv crew and TNTs crew as well. The channels change when its halftime on my TV. Best time to watch them is never.
Ring envy?
That's just a ridiculous statement in general. Lebron makes highlight "defensive" plays when he's in *rover* mode.
But in terms of playing on the ball, or making the right rotation at the right time, he still leaves a lot to be desired (although he is better than he used to be).
The BEST defender in basketball should be matched up defensively with the opponent's top scorer EVERY night - that's almost never the case with James.
Mark Jackson also thought he was a good defender too!
