it relies on the big being able to step out and hedge the ball-carrier allowing the guy being picked to recover by going over the pick. it does involve a 3rd guy, usually the other big, to be aware of the play and switch to cover the opposing big when he rolls to the basket. this is where fabs shine fishing for offensive fouls. pop doesn't like his point guards from going under the pick coz they would then end up with the big posting up our point guards, so they try avoiding it as much as possible.
