LOL, do you realize they will have to win 8 more games in a row to break it? That is hard as . After watching the streak last year i can tell you it gets harder and harder to win games as the wins stack

Well its up to the Lakers. Boston will beat the next 4 scrub teams handily. If they get pass the Lakers they will be home free to break the 22 games streak by the Rockets.

Why does it matter if they beat the Rockets' 22 in a row? The Lakers still have the longest winning streak record.

Exactly! 33 in a row, undefeated in November and December, 1971. Still the longest winning streak in pro sports history, breaking the record of 25 by the baseball New York Giants of the 1920's.

Note who's in the picture, Laker Assistant Jim Cleamons and future coach Pat Riley.

This could be one of the all time great sports teams if they repeat - which is definitely looking like a good bet early on in the season. Bring on the pain when ya meet em Spurs.

It ends Navidad! Or so I hope. Boston has been stronger than I ever imagined. You gotta give them credit for coming back even hungrier than last season.

... and also Elgin Baylor, who was no part of that streak, having retired the game before it started.

It's not in jeopardy because it's not a record.

I think the Hawks will end it just like they stopped Cleveland. Go Hawks!

But I don't mind if the streak stays until Christmas for the Lakers to end it, would make it that much sweeter.

Boston has made it clear a 70 win season is not enough.

    They're going for 80.

Rondo and Perkins are playing good basketball for them right now. But, every team will go through some adversity during the season and this team will be right there in the end.

I looking forward to the Spurs playing them for the le!!!!

The Spurs are one of the few teams disciplined enough on offense to beat them.

Bruce Bowen would have to play defense like the Bowen of old on Pierce for them to have a chance though. And who guards KG? Matt Bonner?

That is why a big like Deke would be such a perfect fit for the Spurs. Deke would allow Duncan to guard KG.

The houston record was a fluke. They had a serious of good teams that were missing key players during that stretch. They were an ok team, but not that good.

And they all lost to a team that was missing their best player. So unfair!

I love how people knock the Cavs for their schedule, but has anyone taken a look at the Celtics' schedule? These are their away back halves of back to backs:Oklahoma City, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Charlotte. I mean, when the Cavs beat these teams they are playing a crappy schedule- but when the Celtics beat them they are considered the best team to ever grace a NBA court.

When you're the defending champion, strength of schedule isn't used so much against you because well, you just proved who was the best a few months ago.

I understand that, but it's just funny to see people knock on the Cavs for playing and beating crappy teams- meanwhile the Celtics are playing crappier (if there is such a thing) teams and everyone wants to lick their jock straps
