    Gervin receives honorary degree

    In Ypsilanti, Mich., former Spurs star George Gervin received an honorary bachelor of science degree from his alma mater, Eastern Michigan, during halftime of the Eagles’ game against St. Bonaventure.

    Gervin played just 39 games at the school from 1970-72 but averaged 21.8 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.
