Greek League players will go on strike on January 3rd. Greek League will not resume unless ALL players of both divisions of Greek league A1 and A2 gets lifetime social security, retirement, full free health care, and ALL players get fully guarantee contracts for EVERY Greek club in A1 and A2 divisions.
Once this is complete then there should NEVER be another stupid post from American fan claim players is not paid or contracts is not guarantee in Greek League. As now is only guarantee in big clubs, but will soon be for all 30 Greek clubs.
This is also part of strategy to help bring more NBA players to Greek League because contracts will be guarantee even for smaller clubs and any player to have play in Greek League will get retirement, free health care and social security for life. All these guarantee contracts, free health care, social security and retirement will be insured and paid by Greek state as this is what is demand of players.
Until these demands is all meet will be no more Greek League. Once demands is meet Greek League will be ONLY basketball league in world beside NBA that will offer such benefits.

No basketball league in world except NBA has this. Greek League will soon. Is part of demands that NBA players and agents have been making. Is say many NBA players will come to the league if new rules are in place.
Remember this even will include A2 division. Even NBA does not offer such things to D-League players. Also remember in Greek League ALL expenses is paid by clubs already which include medical stuff. Same as NBA already, but this will be for life.
Even NBA only have such benefits in existence in last year or so.
