so who's out for the mavs besides the coach?
Down 19 to the T-Wolves. Where's all the Mavfan apologists insisting this is a good team cuz they beat Portland and lost to a depleted Jazz team?
At least they have their "freedom" now with a new coach.
But seriously, I don't understand the Mavs, most inconsistent team I've ever seen. They might hang with the Elite one night, then lose to a bottom feeder the next, then beat a bunch of good teams before losing to a bunch of good teams.
it, I give up trying to figure them out, they just need to trade out some pieces and clear the air. Even lateral trades will work, the same players have just been there too long.
Unfortunately Josh wasn't fooled into thinking that. He's back to sulking & jacking up terrible shots as the #2.
Dirk and Josh cannot co-exist anymore. Something has to be done. Trade one or the other, and honestly at this point I don't care which one it is that goes.
Nights like this remind you that the Mavs are a team that may be broke beyond repair.
Trading J-Ho wouldn't solve it.
Trading for Kidd didn't solve it (or did it break it?)
Firing Avery was a good move, but doesn't solve it.
No matter how the MLE was spent in the Summer, it wouldn't solve it.
It just feels like this team is broke.
That being said, I found the 1st half shooting percentages so extreme that I think the Mavs CAN come back thisg ame, but wouldn't put my money on it.

That's just stupid
Why? What exactly has Dirk done to make you think he's the rightful leader of this team? Josh has done just as good a job without Dirk as Dirk has done without Josh. Not saying I like Josh over Dirk, but I'm not at all sold that Dirk is the guy to lead this team.
I'd much rather trade Josh but obviously his trade value is still in the ter. If you can get an assload of good stuff in return for Dirk, do it.
Still, you sobs better not land the Spurs in the 1st round![]()
Mavs are like 16-5 after that 2-7 start. Chill the out.
The T-Wolves are taking a page from the Warriors and Hornets. The best way to beat the Mavs isn't simply to outperform them, it's to punk the out of them and dominate them mentally. Minnesota is doing exactly that.
Why it's stupid? Cause trading your best player who has a good bball IQ and puts up 26/9 is not the same as trading your braindead 4th best player who half asses it on a near nightly basis.
As for being a "leader", maybe you're right, but trading Dirk won't net you a better "leader".
"Leader" is a dumb word though. Let's just say "best player on a championship" team. Dirk is one of the top 10 players in the game, and if the other 9 teams won't give up their best player for Dirk.
I'm tired of the highlight reel dunks. Knock them on their ing ass when they come into the paint. Send a message: If you want to beat us, make your free throws.
Dirk has established himself as the leader of the team. Everyone on the team looks at him as the leader. And he isn't leading them to . And he'll never be the best player on a championship team until he figures out how to lead the team.
For what it's worth, 29 "leaders" don't lead their team to .
Whoah! When did this turn into a State of the Mavs address? It's just an uninspired beatdown at the hands of a 6-24 juggernaut. Mike Miller isn't even playing.
Paul Pierce isn't a leader but he was the best player on a championship team. Just to reiterate, but Duncan, Kobe, Bron and Wade are 1's. Pierce, KG, Dirk, CP3, they are 1.5's. 2006 Josh, Manu, those guys are 2's.
^ Exactly Findog. There are so few #1's in the league and obviously we won't be able to get one for Dirk. I love my Dirky, even if he is just a 1.5
Like you said, there are maybe 4-6 true #1 options in the NBA... we just happen to be one of the 24-26 teams that are lacking a "true #1". Not much we can really do about that but hope to build an ensamble (like 2006) and contend... obviously we don't have that though.
Give me a ing break! Down by 29 to Minnesota at home when they played last night and you didn't? The ?
WTF are the Mavs doing? TWolves are you kidding me?
9-0 run for Dallas. This is the false hope portion of the game, since they'll eventually get it down to 9-12 points or so.
9-0 run here. But I dunno why Jet is doing his little thing after the made 3. WE're still down 20.
Exactly. Take a gander at the damn scoreboard and STFU.
